Equishare
Equishare is a wonderful opportunity to ride and look after a horse or pony of your own, make friends, have fun and learn to ride in a supervised and safe environment.
You will be part of a unique establishment that has your enjoyment and horse welfare in mind.
You will have all the advantages of owning a horse, but without the responsibility that goes with buying your own.
The equishare system works well for sharers and horse, giving the animal the benefit of a relationship with one person, and children (their parents) and adults the advantage of not having to ride, or look after a horse/ pony every day. It also gives the ponies a break from the routine of school work. The other advantages are the optional lessons every week and the opportunity to ride a variety of other horses and ponies, which will be encouraged as it helps create more versatile riders and the opportunity to rider another pony if yours is out of action!
Sharers can be given the option to buy their horse, or can move on the next size without the risks of buying or selling.
Sometimes we may feel that the time is right to sell a pony, i.e. because the pony is getting older, loosing interest, or not very suitable. If this is the case, sharers will be given first refusal to but/
Often we organise special shows or clinics, and sharers have the opportunity to travel to events with their horses.
Lessons take place primarily on Tues, Weds and Sat mornings, so at all other times sharers can rider at their leisure.
Children are welcome and supervised at all times except on a Sunday after 12 as this it our family time and parents need to be aware that children under 14 must be accompanied by an adult if they stay.
Prices start from £34 up to £44 for the largest horse per week, plus the cost of foot trims or shoes (if needed) every other month.
